a different Christmas experience...

During Christmas holidays, I always go home to Tagbilaran City. It's just that this year I wasn't able to pack my things up, get a ticket and sail to my home sweet land. I really felt bad at first because I already plotted my December schedule. However due to unexpected circumstances, plans were changed. It's not the end of it all. Of course, I still celebrated the Yuletide season with gladness. The good thing was that my younger sister didn't go home as well.

In the eve of December 25, we gathered together in her place along with some of her friends. It was a different experience since we were not at home to spend the best of the season with our family. We still enjoyed it by preparing some good food. Dining with new people who weren't also able to go home to their respective provinces was a memorable event. Though in the deepest chambers of our hearts we truly miss home.

No matter how intense our longing is but we couldn't be with our family all the time. The important thing is that despite the distance you know that they never cease to love, care and pray for you.

Hope you had a wonderful CHRISTmas! ;)

thoughts to ponder

"There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved."

"Relationships are worth fighting for, but sometimes you can't be the only one fighting. At times, people need to fight for you. If they don't, you must move on and realize that what you gave them was more than they were willing to give you. Hopefully, people realize great things when they come around and don't lose something real. Always fight until you can't anymore and then, be fought for."

"The hard times that you go through build character, making you a much stronger person."

"Hearts will never be practical until they are made unbreakable. "

"There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." -

Summitians in Bantayan Island

Away from the city hassle and to find a nice place to unwind and simply enjoy nature, we really had a very great time during our Team Building in Bantayan Island last September 20 and 21!

We stayed in Marlin Beach Resort. It was never a sunny day at all when we went there but we still had real fun in the beach. Well...everything was worth reminiscing. Going to the market place and preparing for our own food was truly exciting. The games were exuberant- creating your own micro team logo, "bring me something or bring me to a place" and build the highest tower using only 16 bond papers. Not to be prejudiced, DLL team logo is the nicest one coupled with Super Idol's convincing explanation.. ;) Solaris team was very creative during the "bring me" game especially Bert's outstanding performance as the beautiful mermaid (haha). Spoko's tower is the tallest and has the strongest foundation. You should be proud of yourselves...

Here's the serious stuff now. The primary essence of the activity is to build team unity, strengthen the team bond and give respect and value for each other. Congratz to the Top 3 Agents for the 1st and 2nd Quarters: Top 1- Ailes; Top 2- Bert and Flor; Top 3- Jiggy. Other awardees- Yoyoy (Top Overall TPH) and Ritchel (Top in Attendance).

The Summit Team Building was more than a success. Headed by our supervisor Chuvie and two second levels, Ernelle and Munde with Summitian agents- Ailes, Bert, Mich, Super Idol Archie, Ritchel, Yoyoy, Jiggy, Mami Flor, Junezach, Mari, Mackoy, Nory (promise!) and Dash.

Kudos everyone! ;)

a deeper sense....

my music. my life. Since my younger years, I have been exposed to the world of music. My mom was a good singer. The roots of my family are great music lovers. As one saying goes like this - it runs in the blood.. (hehehe). Well...maybe I'm just having nostalgia of the past memories of my life. I used to sing in different occasions from small school programs to big glorious events. Perhaps, people would remember me as someone who sings in church events, weddings and singing competitions. ;)

I really love MUSIC... I am born for it...

the penman. The deepest intentions of my heart and mind could also be expressed through written articles. I penned poems, essays, editorials, short stories and other literary compositions in which a few of them were published in school papers and some magazines. I have dreamed of becoming a journalist before but it was changed when years passed by.

I still love to write however I don't have much time now unlike the old days when I would simply stay in my cozy room to begin with the first sentence of my craft.

Hope I could make time creating a poem one of these days...

movie aficionado. "Aficionado- a person who likes, knows about, and appreciates a usually fervently pursued interest or activity." I am a movie addict so to speak. No doubt about it. Different genres of movie flicks fill my interest. Crime and psychological thrillers challenge my mind. I'm into Epic, Science Fiction, Drama, Comedy, Horror, Animation and Sports film as well. Some of my favorite movies are The Lord of the Rings (Trilogy), Spider-Man series, The Departed, The Chronicles of Narnia, Facing the Giants, Coach Carter, Kingdom of Heaven, The Aviator, Forrest Gump, Star Wars series, No Country for Old Men, Children of Men.

just a little background

In a marvelous night of June 13, 1984, I was born in Manila. My loving parents gave me the name June Zacarnette. What’s with the name? My mom gave me such name simply for the reason that I came out of this strange world in the month of “June” and my father’s name and hers were merged together to spell a very unique word “Zacarnette”. At this time, you might be guessing what my parents’ names are but I want it to remain that way.

I grew up in Bohol- a one of a kind place with lots of nice vistas and amazing beauty spots bestowed by the Almighty. I’ve studied in different schools in our country. I was a like a wanderer so to speak. I’ve been to some parts of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. I couldn’t get a permanent place to stay since my parents were transferring from one area to another. It only stopped when I was in my sophomore years in high school. I eventually finished my entire school life in Tagbilaran City. I graduated BS Computer Engineering at CVSCAFT-TCC on March 2007.

I am currently working at 1&1 Internet, Inc. - Cebu City. I’m so far enjoying my job as an Advanced Technical Support. I basically support people on their technical issues and other stuffs over the phone. I’ve been with the company for more than a year now.

I’m still looking forward to new horizons and surmount great challenges. I am an eagle who soars high above the strong winds and storms in life.
